An absolute classic. John Frusciante’s return for the band's 7th album, and easily the most famous one in the RHCP discography. It’s packed with bangers, including 3 that have over a billion streams on streaming platforms (Scar Tissue, Otherside, and Californication). Chad Smith’s playing style heavily shaped my drumming vocabulary, especially with his nuances and how he uses space. Flea and Frusciante’s funky, groovy riffs are a pure joy to jam along to. Rock and funk, introspective yet lighthearted themes, a truly complete album.
