"All we can see, all we can tell is that the universe seems flat.[...] The analogy is, if you look at a tiny piece of the Earth, like a kilometer square of the Earth, it looks flat. You have to look on bigger distances to see if there is any curve. Well, that's the same with the universe. All we can say is the bit we can see is flat, so it could be infinite; we don't know."
